How to Raise a Christian Family Today?
Faith is hard to sustain. This is a reality more than just a fact. To believe onto something the eyes cannot see, to follow a directed path no one knows will pay off is something that needs courage and patience more than anything on this earth. At this very trying times, where hope seems to be nowhere and where the cruelty of the world is much felt and seen and hear more than the glory of His Kingdom, faith can be shaken up and your beliefs and faith can crumble down as fast as the negativities in you surround. It is not easy but you will not give up. You will continue to soar and you will continue to believe. However blinding life may get and however difficult it starts to become.
As a parent to your children, as someone who is designated to guard and lead their lives according to the teachings of the Bible, you need to be the most strong in your faith. As the foundation of your children’s identity and belief as human beings and followers of Christ, your faith should not falter or else theirs might follow suit and your family might end up walking against the current of faith and salvation. It’s going to struggle when it starts being that way. Going against the current of what should be rightfully done will lead you to drown and disperse.
The question is, how are you going to help your children remain their faith amid it all? As their parent what can be the basic things, you can do and implement in your home to make sure you are not getting sidetracked away from the reality of your faith and belief as a living Christian family. The generation to come is honed by you and only thus whatever you decide over their lives from here on out will reflect directly to the path of their lives. As a Christian, you are going to be their rock to continue – you need to be their anchor of faith.
Since that temptation easily slips in through the life of people nowadays, it is much harder to convince people to stick to their faith and believe in the unseen. Today, most of the youth are lost in an endless state of questioning. They are lost in the endless way of being lost. They want to be found yet somehow they refuse to acknowledge the way of light as their roadmap. As a parent, you can do something about it. You have to do something to prevent your children from sliding away from the path walked by Christ Himself.
You need to implement a strict and nurturing Christian condition under your roof. Something that you family will religiously adhere to and practice, something your children will find interesting and captivating to follow and observe. You can get help and you can follow some defined path made by precedent successful parents before you. They have something to share to boost the living Christian community.
